Chrysler vehicles have come a long way in recent years. Chrysler at one time earned the reputation of being a company that catered to an older and more affluent crowd. While that works for the company in some ways, it can turn off younger buyers. The newer models in the Chrysler line are attempting to – and succeeding at – changing that image.
Chrysler revamped its image into something of a maverick among American car manufacturers. They were the first company to use older design models, such as the classic 1950s and 60s cars, and turn them into neat-looking, fully equipped newer models. The PT Cruiser was the first of the Chrysler line to create the modern-style classic, but it was such a hit that Chrysler has recreated many of its cars.
One of the most interesting things about Chrysler cars is that they do not keep the same old models year after year the way that many car manufacturers do. Instead they come up with new models and new designs frequently. The 300 is a perfect example of the type of ingenuity and new design that has led to Chrysler becoming popular with a growing crowd of young professionals who love the roomy designs and extra features, such as built-in GPS tracking, that allows Chrysler to remain in high demand among older, affluent consumers as well.
Chrysler also has made in-roads among minivans with the Town & Country, often considered the luxury model among the minivan crowd. The Pacifica, too, brings new design to sport utility vehicles. Aerodynamic and classy, the Pacifica is an SUV for people who aren’t sure they want to drive SUVs. The Sebring and Aspen are still available, too, for people who want to stick with a more traditional model of car. It is this type of crossover appeal that has allowed Chrysler to improve its position among carmakers.
